TO APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS:

1. Click “Sign In” in the upper right-hand corner of your screen to begin.
2. You will need your FCC student ID number, FCC email address, and password.
3. If you do not have a Frederick Community College Student ID number or email address and password, please click here. to apply for admission.
4. Complete and submit the General Application. (Did you know that completing the General Application may qualify you for multiple scholarships?)

PLEASE NOTE: Not all scholarships have an “Apply” button:

Automatch Scholarships: Once you complete your General Application, you will be matched with scholarships for which you immediately qualify based on school reported PeopleSoft data (i.e. major, GPA, etc.) and your responses on the General Application – no further action is required. All students who qualify will be automatched to these opportunities. Qualifying does not guarantee you will receive a scholarship only that you are now eligible to be considered for one.

Apply-To Scholarships: These are scholarships in which have an additional criteria beyond the General Application. To see a list of scholarships that may need additional action on your part to receive consideration, select “Recommended” under “Opportunities.” Submit any additional essays, recommendation letters, etc required for further consideration.

Basic Student Eligibility Criteria: Be enrolled as a regular student in an eligible degree or certificate program at Frederick Community College; and meet other individual scholarship criteria. A “regular student” is defined as a student attending FCC having received a high school diploma or a state-recognized equivalent such as a General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Students currently enrolled in any FCC Dual Enrollment Program (Early College, Open Campus, High School-Based, etc.), are not eligible to apply for or receive scholarships or funding offered by the FCC Foundation.

All decisions are contingent upon the availability of funds.

Award Notification

1. If you are selected to receive a scholarship, you will be notified by FCC email approximately 15-20 business days after the application closing date.
2. If you are not selected for a scholarship, you will not be notified. An email will be sent to all applicants to announce the end of the awarding period.
3. You may check the status of your scholarship application here in the Blackbaud Scholarship Application Portal (https://frederick.academicworks.com/).
4. If you are “Offered” a scholarship and wish to accept the offer, you must Accept the scholarship here in the Blackbaud Scholarship Application Portal.
5. You cannot accept the scholarship in PeopleSoft.
