Dr. Norman J. Knorr Science Scholarship

This scholarship was created by Lisa K. Solomon in loving memory of her father, Dr. Norman J. Knorr, former dean of the University of Virginia Medical School.

1. Recipient(s) shall be a degree-seeking student enrolled in six (6) or more credits at Frederick Community College
2. Recipient(s) shall have a declared major in Biology or Chemistry
3. Recipient(s) shall be a second-year student with a minimum of 15 completed credits
4. Recipient(s) shall be determined to have financial need based upon the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form submitted to the Frederick Community College Office of Financial Aid.
5. Recipient(s) shall have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better
6. Priority will be given to student pursing entry into medical school as determined by their College and Career Goals Essay
