Raymond L Maldo and L-Dub Scholarship for HCTI
The scholarship is created by Raymond W. Maldo in memory of L-Dub (Lauren) who was a childhood friend of Ray’s daughter. Lauren developed Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare pediatric bone cancer. She passed away from it at age 27. Lauren’s legacy of helping others will continue with the establishment of these scholarships. Raymond is an adjunct professor in the Hospitality, Culinary, and Tourism Institute at FCC, and serves on its advisory council. The scholarship will assist HCTI students with financial need. Lauren would have been proud to support FCC students with their studies.
